Bullet Planter Basics + A Few Of Our Favorites

The bullet planter is full of fun, unique style with a retro silhouette that can bring the perfect touch of Mid Mod to any space! These classically Mid Century planters will look great practically anywhere, with practically anything in them! But if you’re looking to use them for planters, here are a few tips:

Instead of planting directly inside the bullet planter, place your plant in a smaller planter with a drainage dish, and then place the whole thing inside the bullet planter.
But if you’d rather plant inside the planter, make sure to cover the bottom of it with a layer of gravel to help with drainage and moisture.
For a more ‘finished’ look, cover the base of the plant/top of the planter with sphagnum moss.
If your bullet planter is a durable material like fiberglass or a glazed ceramics, it can probably handle being outdoors, but keep it under something covered, like a roof overhang, to prevent any sun damage.
