Ever wonder what a real live Barbie would have in her house? Joybird took on the challenge and has released a Barbie Dreamhouse collection. After all, Barbie was born in 1959, so it’s only fitting that her furniture would reflect Mid Century Modern design!
Whether you’re excited or ambivalent to see what Greta Gerwig’s production of Barbie holds in store, the movie’s July 21 release means Barbie is making a splash! Part of Barbie’s classic charm is not just the clothes and accessories but also her Dreamhouse. Joybird teamed up with Mattel for a second time to release a limited edition line of Barbie Dreamhouse-worthy furniture. The limited time Barbie x Joybird collection celebrates Barbie’s confidence and interior fashion sense with eight furniture pieces available in, of course, pink, as well as jewel tones of amethyst and emerald.
In a press release, Gifty Walker, Director of Merchandising & Sourcing at Joybird shares, “Joybird has had ‘hot pink´ in our assortment for years, so it was an absolute dream to take a page from modern-day Barbie’s style book and create a second collection where a bold, cheerful point of view translates into the home.
“We truly designed a joint collection for the customer who isn’t afraid to embrace their unique and fearless style, and live life a little more boldly! The Barbie x Joybird collection empowers everyone to curate a home that radiates confidence and creativity – just like Barbie!”
