Mariam Hejazi
Broker AssociateA third generation Houstonian with 11+ years of experience in the residential real estate space, extensive knowledge of what each part of the city offers in housing, lifestyle, amenities, entertainment, and restaurants; Mariam knows our city by heart, and she has a passion for helping people love Houston as much she does. She has the skill to take you from house hunt and house prep, to negotiations, and through inspections so everyone can make it to the closing table.
Mariam grew up in a 1958 ranch style home with the token long red brick, low-slung roofline, original hardwood floors, and certainly no shortage of old-house quirks. She’s also a life-long antiques enthusiast and is involved with the antiques community in both Houston and Round Top, Texas. Over her career in residential real estate she’s become highly specialized in helping her clients acquire and trade Mid-Century modern homes. She has extensive knowledge of the hurdles and quirks associated with houses built in this time period; from under slab plumbing, foundations, and giant tree roots to old wiring and unique roofing issues. Chances are if it’s a problem, she has a solution. Not only is she proficient in issues that may arise in homes built in the mid-century time period, she also has a deep love for the design and architecture and often helps her clients visualize possibility and source authentic pieces.
She currently lives in an incredible 1956 Mid-Century modern home in Houston with her two crazy tortoiseshell cats, Gyoza and Begonia. In her spare time she loves long walks in the park, antiquing, reading, gardening, volunteering with the Houston Junior League, traveling to America’s National Parks.
