We posted on December 7, 2020 that the House of Tomorrow in Palm Springs, where Elvis Presley spent his honeymoon, was for sale for $2.5 million. We got word on December 15 that the home sold for $2.6 million. While we’re on the subject of this iconic house, though, it’s still a great time to take a peek.
The 1960 home was built by the Alexander Construction Company, and this one was designed for Robert Alexander and his family. Elvis and Priscilla Presley leased the property and arrived here after their wedding on May 1, 1967.
With a view of the San Jacinto Mountains, its celebrity pedigree and futuristic design, the home embodies the ease, glamour and Mid Century Modern style for which Palm Springs is famous. The 4 bedroom, 5 bath house has been featured in a variety of magazines and films, including an Elvis documentary. The home is designed as a series of four circular pods and offers plenty of hosting room.
