This year, Modernism Week’s Fall Preview is online, including the much-beloved house tour. You can still see some stunning Palm Springs architecture from the comfort of your couch from now until October 31.
Here’s a look at a few of the homes you can see at this year’s Signature House Tour.
Take a Look around the Aggregate Wall House
One stop on Modernism Week’s Signature House Tour this year is the 1975 John Walling designed Aggregate Wall House. The home enjoys a historical designation as an example of late modernism. Homeowner, interior designer and all-around Renaissance man Daniel Krog explains that late modernism is a blend of “earthy modernism juxtaposed with the Space Age modernism.”
As the home’s moniker suggests, the home boasts an impressive feature wall of aggregate concrete which adds texture and visual interest.
Tour Excellent Exteriors
Of course, being in Palm Springs, some of the best rooms are outside. Modernism Week’s house tour gives viewers a taste of the indoor-outdoor connection these dreamy homes offer.
Other stops on the tour include the Wexler Family Home, the Edris House and the Chardin House. To see all five homes on Modernism Week’s Signature Home Tour, get your tickets here.
