Think that Mid Century Modern style furnishings only go with other Mid Century Modern style furnishings? Designer Emily Henderson is here to show otherwise.
Mid Century Modern Style Goes Traditional
While renovating and redesigning a home in Portland, Oregon, Emily transformed what was once a so-so living room into this chic space. Now airy and inviting, the design incorporates Mid Century Modern style in a fresh way—right alongside far more traditional furnishings.
The coffee table is from Thos. Moser. “If you haven’t heard that name before, it’s probably because they aren’t flashy or blasting their logo all over the place. They’ve been making honest, quality (not to mention STUNNING) wood furniture for over 45 years. This coffee table is certainly simple but the detailing and craftsmanship is there and saying it’s timeless is an understatement. Heirloom style furniture is still around, folks, and if it’s in your budget, it’s worth the splurge,” writes Emily.
Our favorite pieces in the room are easy to spot. We just can’t stop admiring the secretary and the sleek little chair by an unknown designer. Both came from The Good Mod.
