The Reveal! A Poolside Design Talk featuring H3K’s Green Gables
Back by popular demand – and even better! Come dip your toes in the pool and enjoy a refreshing cocktail – all while being let in on the design secrets of Green Gables, one of Palm Springs’ most stylish pads. Our poolside talk with Palm Springs design/build experts Kevin Kemper and Howard Hawkes of H3K Design takes place at one of their fabulous homes in the Twin Palms neighborhood. Find out what they’ve done to restore and personalize this 1958 Palmer and Krisel-designed high gable house – including how to spot the various takes on midcentury style. We guarantee you’ll walk away with fresh ideas to implement in your own home!
What to Expect: No matter if you’ve been to our design seminars before or not, you’ll definitely want to join in on this exciting event. We’re leaving behind the lecture hall in favor of chatting poolside! That’s right, the entire event takes place at a beautifully renovated midcentury modern home. You’ll have time to tour the house, take pictures and jot down ideas. Then, join us in the backyard for a design discussion with real-life tips and advice. You’ll leave inspired and equipped!
About the House: Celebrate the beauty of midcentury modern architecture and design in this 1958 Palmer and Krisel-designed high gable house built by the Alexander Construction Company. Since being featured during Modernism Week’s Fall Preview, the house is sporting fresh furnishings – all of which speak to the home’s period style. Light refreshments will be served.

Modernism’s Legacy: Discussing the Future of Midcentury Architecture
Are you looking for a thought-provoking discussion on the preservation, impact and long-term importance of Midcentury Modern architecture? Look no further. Atomic Ranch is celebrating the legacy and future of modernism through a special presentation featuring a panel of trusted experts. Through a moderated discussion, they will share their unparalleled passion for midcentury as well as their industry knowledge. This discussion will take a close look at the benefits and impact of original designs, as well as what it means to translate these homes for life in the 21st century.
What to Expect: This discussion will take place in the theater at CAMP. Audience members will be given time to ask questions of the panelists. Each attendee will also receive the most recent issue of Atomic Ranch.
About the Panelists: Moderated by TJ Pierce, a real estate specialist who has used his business to create a community of modernists in Boise, Idaho, the panel is comprised of preservationists, architects, designers and more. This carefully selected crew of modernists is deeply enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Midcentury Modern architecture and design.
