Last weekend, the Atomic Ranch team traveled to Palm Springs for Modernism Week, an event that “presents the best of vintage 20th century design and compelling 21st century contemporary art and design.”
With 120 national and international exhibitors under one roof, there was plenty of style and creativity to behold. “This year’s show was really impressive,” says Jickie Torres. “Every booth was just visually stunning and beautifully designed. The companies that came to the show were all so impressive.”
Modernism Week serves as a source of artistic inspiration, but why stop there? If the price is right, you can add something incredibly unique to your own collection. Plus, you can forge new relationships with talented artisans.
“I love that people can come to this show and find something for almost any need: building materials to help with their renovations, amazing vintage finds from artwork to furniture to lighting, and then new makers in those same categories. So whether you are looking for a one-of-a-kind piece or needing to find a brand that can offer customizations or volume, you can find it here,” Jickie says.

“This was our second year as presenting sponsor of the Palm Springs Modernism Show and our second time building Atomic Avenue—which is our curated collection of brands that make and design in the Mid Century Modern tradition. Come visit us to get hands on with things like tile and lighting from companies like Remcraft and ModWalls, and get a chance to check out furniture brands like Casara Modern and Boyd & Allister to see and feel the quality in person!” encourages Jickie.
