If you already have a unique tile scheme, don’t get rid of it during your remodel. Instead, use it as the focal point for your updated bathroom to add even more character to your interiors. Care to shed some light on the subject? If you’re looking to bring some natural light into your lavatory, then a sliding window might be for you. In their Portland ranch remodel, Tom Cotter and Doug Beebe focused specifically on this idea, contrasting the dark Ebano tiling with the incoming light. A pop of color can definitely add some funk and spunk to your MCM spaces. And by incorporating red tiles throughout their bathroom, Annie and Jamie Price stick true to this idea, giving the bathroom a more eclectic mid century look. In their mid century guest home, Randy Shemaitis and Keith Zabel took a technicolor tile scheme to heart. By incorporating orange, green, blue, and grey hexagonal tiles into the shower, they wanted to capture the unique MCM vibe that only Palm Springs can provide. “We want [people] to think ‘Palm Springs'” when they enter, says Keith.
