Why You Shouldn’t Miss Atomic Ranch at Modernism Week:
We have three great house tours in sunny Palm Springs! Get a sneak peek into each one, and don’t forget to snap up your tickets before they’re gone!
Stunning in Sunmor: An Atomic Ranch + H3K Talk & Tour
Readers of Atomic Ranch may recognize this 1958 Palmer & Krisel that’s been featured in our pages. Newly remodeled and open for the February 16 event, this Sunmor home keeps going from good to great. Built by the prolific Alexander Company and newly redesigned by H3K Design, the home includes a large courtyard, pool and iconic indoor/outdoor style. After gathering inspiration as you walk through the home, step outside and grab a glass of bubbly to hear our very own Jickie Torres interview Howard Hawkes and Kevin Kemper of H3K Design about their sensitive renovation process and what you can learn from it for your own midcentury remodeling journey.

Atomic Ranch Tours: A Twin Palms Homeowners Journey
On Saturday February 17, 2024, join Atomic Ranch for a talk and tour of a 1959 Twin Palms Estates home built by Thor Frederickson and carefully preserved and updated by MCM-loving homeowners. Beyond the delightful pink front doors, discover original details such as pink and green bathroom tiles as well as impressive architectural features such as a tear drop shaped swimming pool, clerestory windows and stone fireplace and more. Then head out to the pool to sip on a refreshing beverage and hear Jickie Torres interview the homeowners on how they bridged past and present so seamlessly.

Atomic Ranch + Shag: Inside the Making of The Shag House
Do you know the colorful retro-inspired artwork of Shag? What would happen if one of the homes from Shag’s artworks came to life? Experience the answer to that question by touring “The Shag House,” a 1958 Alexander in the Little Beverly Hills neighborhood imagined and designed by artist Shag and produced by John Patrick Flynn. Join Jickie Torres, artist Shag and the renovation team to hear how they brought the vision to life. Come with your questions as there will be a Q and A after. Enjoy bottomless bubbly and leave with an Atomic Ranch swag bag.
